We had an unforgettable day on La Zigoela. With only one day to spend in the area, hiring a boat trip was the perfect solution to see Cinque Terre while avoiding the traffic and lines. Robert and Nicolas were great hosts. Punctual, attentive and aiming to please. We took the tour for the entire day, sailing through the Gulf of Poets, having a super tasty lunch in front of Porto Venere and enjoying a swim. Our eight years old daughter also had a blast - swimming was her highlight. While we enjoyed the sightseeing, the food and the turquoise waters, we mostly appreciated the company of our hosts! We'll definitely do this again.</p>

With some help of Tripadvisor I came across LaZigoela to do a boat tour around the Cinque Terre because the normal ferry's and walking routes were flushed with tourists.We have had an wonderful day and would recommend this to anyone. The lunch was absolutely amazing with authentic dishes from the area, Roberto is also a chef at an restaurant with the same name as the boat. We stopped at some spots to do some snorkelling en swimming which was also amazing. If you want to relax, and see the 5 lands from the sea this is definitely a perfect way to do it. - Niels
We met Nicolaus at the port in La Spezia where he walked us to the boat for our tour. His father, Roberto, was our Captain for the day. He navigated our boat out of the harbor and on to the coast of La Spezia for a beautiful day of boating, swimming and sightseeing. Roberto stopped and made fresh from scratch Pesto and then cooked us a traditional pasta for lunch along with special home made appetizers and desserts cooked by his wife from home. We felt like we got an excellent taste of the region... His family also owns a little restaurant in La Spezia. Our little boat was perfect for our group of 11- We enjoyed the beautiful views as well as the great food. We swam in the sea and sunned on the deck. - Donna
Our Experience of sailing and the dinner have been excellent. Roberto, skipper and chef has been a wonderful host, together his crew, with professionality and cordiality. The dinner has been delicious, prepared with fresh local ingridiends served on deck, where we enjoyed a wonderful view on the Gulf of Poets and Portovenere. Fantastic tour. Unforgettable night. Wow wow what a wonderful tour. We really enjoyed our sunset and night cruise . Let us start from the beginning. It was our anniversary , I wanted to make a surprise for my wife. I read very nice comments about this boat tour. First, the process of booking is so easy and friendly, the marketing team responded quickly in few minutes (yes within minutes ) clarifying and question , adding useful information and suggests the best for you. On the time of the tour very accurate timing , warm welcome by the team Roberto the skipper is a very nice guy , friendly smile , warm welcome clever skipper . The rest of the team Andrea and Stephany very nice friendly young team , good English language . We started the tour from La Spezia through the gulf of poets heading to Porto Vennere , very nice sunset tour , nice sea breath with wine and home-made apperitive. We landed in Porto Vennerra spent an hour there, we were lucky there was a festival with music bands everywhere and firework. Wonderful night to be remembered. Then the skipper made us a excellent Italian dinner , with real Italian local ingredients, ..a nice dinner in the middle of the sea . Really we felt at home among old friends. Waoooo!!!!!! What a tour!!!! The 4 hours spent with Roberto (the skipper) and Nicolas put sparkles in our eyes and sun in our heart. My husband and I went for a 4-hour tour around the La Spezia bay and time was flying so fast....Roberto took us to an amazing place close to Portovenere to swim in a crystal clear water, then went around the islands and on the other side of the bay. In the mean while, we saw some dolphins...just like a dream! The color of the sea, the luminosity of the end-of-august sunshine, the beautiful landscapes, the nice sailing boat and the delightful Roberto made this tour unforgettable.Roberto is very welcoming and is proud of culture, food, and traditions of his region and shared it with us with a lot of enthusiasm. Do not hesitate to escape from the real world and enter into this majestic reality on the Zigoela.- Claire
L'équipe de La Zigoela a été très à l'écoute de nos demandes avant le départ (décalage à midi de l'horaire prévu à l'origine à 10h, pour profiter du coucher de soleil... qui malheureusement était caché en fin d'après-midi), préférences alimentaires,... L'accueil à bord a été très sympathique: Roberto,en capitaine attentionné, avait fait venir un ami, Fabrizio, parlant parfaitement le français, ce qui a permis des échanges intéressants et drôles. L'humour et l'amitié était au rendez-vous ! Nous fêtions l'anniversaire de mon mari (qui n'était pas au courant de cette belle surprise), et nous avons eu droit pour le déjeuner à une très bonne cuisine locale, de bons vins et un apéro au Spritz en fin de journée après une pause baignade en face de Monterosso. Sur le retour, les dauphins nous ont offert un joli spectacle. Beaucoup de gaité à bord ! Mon seul regret est d'avoir navigué seulement au moteur, mais nous n'étions apparemment pas assez nombreux pour monter les voiles qui sont lourdes... Simply fantastic!A special evening for a special birthday.Everything perfect starting from the kindness and helpfulness of Captain Roberto and his helper Max.After sailing along a piece of coast to enjoy the beauties of the Gulf of Poets, we stopped in the bay in front of Portovenere where the atmosphere was so beautiful that we could not describe it.Roberto delighted us with a very pleasant aperitif accompanied by delicious appetizers and, afterwards, he cooked us an excellent dinner based on fish and Ligurian goodness. Finally, a delicious chocolate cake that we devoured!All under the smug gaze of a magnificent full moon!We couldn't have hoped for better!A great professionalism accompanied by a true passion for the sea.A special thanks also to Manuela of the marketing office, who managed to organize everything exactly as requested.Surely we will be back!- Beatrice

I researched a lot of ways to see the famous Cinque Terre villages, Porto Venere and this gorgeous coastline and am so glad I chose Capt Roberto and La Zigoela. The trip was unfogettable, the highlight of our holiday, and we were treated very well by all the crew, especially the fabulous Fabrizio who told us so much about what we were looking at - he was very knowlegeable, professional and friendly.The food was great, plenty to eat and drink, comfortable to sit and admire the views from proper table and chairs. The boat is beautiful and very well maintained, I'm so glad we returned under sail for part of the journey, this made it even more special for us. Jumping into the water and swimming in the warm Med was great fun too! I can definitely recommend this if you're in the area, so much better than trying to visit the towns by car - the crowds were horrendous from what we could see but we had a calm, peaceful and unforgettable experience. Moment de détente et baignade.C'est à bord de ce magnifique voilier en bois typique, le Zigoela, que ma fille et moi-même avons pris le large pour quelques heures relaxantes le long de la côte des Cinq terres avec une vue splendide sur les villages de Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza et Monterosso. Quelques arrêts dans de jolies baies pour se baigner, une dégustation de délicieux produits locaux ont fait de cette journée un bon moment de dépaysement et de détente. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une personne à bord qui parlait français, c'était très gréable de pouvoir échanger sur l'histoire maritime et locale. Inoubliable!Nous avons passé une journée entière sur la Zigolea avec nos deux jeunes enfants pour découvrir les cinque terre depuis la mer. Quel fut notre agréable surprise quand nous avons vu arriver vers nous ce bateau en bois incroyable, si beau, confortable et entretenu avec cœur. Roberto, Fabrizio et Max ont pris soin de nous : baignades dans les criques, visite commentée par Fabrizio qui parle parfaitement français et ...un déjeuner typique et délicieux préparé par Max (qui s est aussi adapté aux goûts des enfants). Stunning.Had an amazing time with LaZigoela while drinking wine and eating amazing food. We did the sunset apertif boat ride and it made our entire trip. The incredible views and the hospitality of Roberto was unbeatable. This is a must do experience if you are in La Spezia! We saw a beautiful sunset and had a nice swim in the water before we were served the best food I had in the Cinque Terre's that weekend. It was a short trip, but this experience made the whole thing worth it!- Olivia
Amazing trip in La Spezia!What a beautiful evening. We found the booking process easy. Captain Roberto considered all of our dietary requirements. One daughter is lactose intolerant and the other will not eat fish/seafood.The food was exquisite. We had an evening cruise which was made more memorable by the lunar eclipse. The crew were attentive and every need was attended to. Well worth the delights of a character wooden boat, shimmering sapphire blue sea, local history tour, lunar eclipse, attentive crew and delicious food.-
